Royce Caston Fikes

Funeral services for Mr. Royce Caston Fikes, age 95, of Houston, former resident of Cameron and Riverside, Tx, were held at 3:00 p m Saturday at the Oak Hill Cemetery Pavilion with the Reverend Billy Crow officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery. Mr. Fikes died Thursday in a Houston nursing facility.
Mr. Fikes was born March 18, 1916, in the Clarkston community, near Rosebud, and was self employed in tool sales, and was a veteran having served in the United States Army. Mr. Fikes was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Mr. Fikes was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Dorothy Fikes in December, 2010.
Survivors include a son Ron Fikes, of Spring, Tx, and daughters Lanelle Witt of Big Spring, Tx, and Gwen Sammons of Houston, TX. In addition Mr. Fikes has 6 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, and 3 Great Great Grandchildren.
Family visitation was held Friday evening from 5 – 7 p m at the Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron.
