Lavaughn Eakens

Mrs. LaVaughn Eakens, age 89, of Cameron, died, Tuesday, August 5, 2014, in a Rockdale hospital, following an illness. Funeral services for Mrs. Eakens will be held at a later date in Pueblo, Colorado.
Mrs. Eakens was born March 15, 1925, in Alliance, Nebraska, to John B. and Lottie Tabor West, and was a retired homemaker. Mrs. Eakens was preceded in death by her husband Paul in 1995, and by a brother and two sisters.
Survivors include three sons, Verlin Eakens of Cameron; Dale Eakens of Riverside, California; and Calvin Eakens of Cameron
Four grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.
Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron is in charge of arrangements.
