Emogene Brooks

Emogene Brooks, 84, of Jarrell, died Sunday, August 17, 2014 in a Temple Nursing Home. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday in Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. Rev. Gary Johnson officiating. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday in Bartlett City Cemetery.
Mrs. Brooks was born November 4, 1929 in Bartlett to Sidney and Bertha Dean Johnson. She lived most of her life in the Bartlett and Jarrell communities. She was married to E. B. Brooks and was a member of First Baptist Church in Jarrell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by two sons: Daniel Henslee and James Henslee both of Durango
One daughter: Lois Brown of Cego
One Brother: Lloyd “Sonny” Johnson of Belton
6 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home
