Jo Ann Green

Jo Ann Downes Green, 71, of Rosebud, died Monday, May 11, 2015, in a Temple Hospital. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday in Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. Rev. Don Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in Powers Chapel Cemetery near Rosebud.
Mrs. Green was born September 29, 1943 in Rosebud to Andrew and Nellie Patterson Downes. She grew up in Cedar Springs and lived most of her life in Nolanville. She married Thomas Green on November 7, 1960. She worked for Gibson’s and Wal-Mart in Killeen. She was a member of New Salem Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Jeffrey Green and wife Nadine of Temple
Two daughters, Terrie Green of Temple and Bobbie Robinson and husband Lee of Hamilton, OH
Two brothers, Leon Downes of Lott and Kenneth Downes of Kosse
One Sister, Marie Bowen of Rosebud
5 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
