Ivy Lou Dodson, 93, passed away after a lengthy illness Wednesday June 22, 2016 in Waco Texas. Ivy Lou was preceded in death by husband Roy Everette Dodson, daughter Judy Kucera, daughter and son-in-law Minnie Dodson and Jim Freeman and granddaughter Cherie Dodson. She is survived by son Richard Dodson and wife Lynn of McKinney and son Jerrell Dodson of Hitchcock, son-in-law Robert Kucera, sister, Beulah McCaghren of Willis, 6 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and numerous caregivers. Ivy was Postmistress of Penelope TX for many years before a taking a medical retirement. Ivy will be remembered for sharing her life and spreading the word of the Lord.
Services will be held at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud TX officiated by Victor Lyons of Memphis TN on Saturday June 25, 2016. Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 am to 10:00 am with funeral and graveside services following visitation.
