Arthur Lee Horton

Arthur Lee Horton, 76, of Rosebud, died Sunday, September 5, 2021, at a Temple Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Long Branch Cemetery near Reagan.

Mr. Horton was born August 11, 1945 in Baileyville to Ray and Charlie Mae Whitfield Horton. He graduated from Wilson White High School in Rosebud and worked as a farmer. He was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Beverly Horton of Waco, his mother, Charlie Mae Horton of Rosebud, two brothers, Raymond Horton of Cedar Hill and Willie Horton of Conroe, three sisters, Zelma Scott of Rosebud, Annie Barkers of Port Arthur, and Charlie Mae Cook of Huntsville, two grandchildren. He is also  survived by his longtime friend, Carolyn Sue Papendorf.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
