Born on January 4, 1973, in Machias, Maine, Brenda was the cherished daughter of Robert Daris Sr. and Roberta Chambers. Though born in Maine, she was raised in Texas, where she graduated from Belton High School and built a life filled with love, friendship, and service to others. She met the love of her life, Jeff Taylor in 2004 and married him in June, 23, 2018.

She found joy in many hobbies and passions throughout her life. She also devoted herself to the Benevolent Patriotic Order of Does #139 at Temple Elks Lodge #138, where she most recently served as the Elk’s Sweetheart, raising funds for the Texas Elks Camp, supporting children with special needs. Brenda’s dedication and compassion helped raise significant funds for a cause that remained close to her heart.

Brenda had a deep love for gardening and took great pride in nurturing her many beautiful plants. She also loved camping, spending time outdoors, and casting a line while fishing, finding peace and happiness in nature.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents.

Brenda leaves behind a family who will forever cherish her memory: her devoted husband, Jeff Taylor of Temple; her loving daughter, Jeanette Cortes of Belton; her son, West Barker and his wife, Savannah, of Temple; and her four treasured grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

She is also survived by her honorary brother, Sean Beasley of Troy , and her honorary daughter, Kamille Grant of Temple, along with many extended family members, dear friends, all of whom were blessed to know and love her.
