Calvin Sanders

Calvin Sanders, 92 of Robinson, died Tuesday February 10, 2026 at a Temple Hospital. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. Rev. Don Fulton will officiate. Burial will follow in Powers Chapel Cemetery near Rosebud.

Mr. Sanders was born on April 9, 1933 in Marlin to Chester and Myrtle Hall Sanders. He graduated from Rosebud High School in 1952. He served in the US Army in Korea and Japan. He married Minnie Toms (His Best Friend) on September 19, 1953. He worked for Dealers Electric and retired after 29 years of service in 1995. At the time of his retirement, he held the office of Senior Vice President. He continued to serve on the Board of Directors at Dealers Electric until 2025. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and AMVETS.

He was preceded in death by his wife, and one daughter, Sheryl Lynn Sanders.

He is survived by one son, Calvin Lee Sanders and wife Lou Ann of Robinson, two daughters, Barbara Blanchard and Steven Strahl of Bosqueville and Kathy Sanders of Denver, Colorado, one brother, J.W. Sanders of Houston and one sister, Joyce Hansche of Sante Fe, New Mexico, 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Powers Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 to11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
