Cora Mae Hollas, 100 years old, of Temple was called to her eternal home on September 3, 2026. Services will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in Salem Lutheran Church, Terry’s Chapel,(418 FM 1772 Rosebud, Texas 76570) near Barclay with Pastor Terry Atkins officiating. There is a visitation scheduled prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at the church.

Cora Mae was born on September 10,1925 to Henry and Freida (Sitz) Hoff in Rosebud, Texas. She graduated from Rosebud High School in 1943 and later married Alvin William Hollas on January 25, 1950. They lived in the Wison community where they farmed until retiring and moving to Temple. She was a lifelong member of Salem Lutheran Church where she joyfully served her Lord and was active in numerous church organizations. She also worked at and retired from The Rosebud Dress and Castro Manufacturing Co. in Rosebud.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Alvin, her brother, Marvin Hoff of Rosebud and two sisters, Leona Loke of Bryan and Dorothy Richter of Bishop, Texas.

Cora Mae leaves behind a loving family consisting of three daughters, Laura Kraemer and husband Dennis; Betty Ehler and Glenda Kennemer, all of Temple. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Jason Ehler and wife Stacey, Ryan Ehler, Jonathan Alford and wife Jennifer and Carrie Noa and husband Phillip; 8 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Salem Lutheran Church or Amedisys Hospice of Temple.

Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud is in charge of arrangements.
