Eugene William Radle, 91 of Lott, died Monday July 14, 2025 at his residence. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. Chester Springfield will officiate. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Phillips Cemetery in Travis.
Mr. Radle was born on January 30, 1934 in Lott to Walter and Elizabeth Tepe Radle. He graduated from Marlin High School in 1952 and received the F.F. A. Lone Star Farmer Degree his senior year. He married Shirley G. Danford on May 18, 1956. He served in the US Army from January 1956 to October 1960. He worked for Lone Star Gas Company in Temple prior to moving to Lott in 1975. He taught the 12 year old boys Sunday School Class at Heights Baptist Church in Temple for several years. He was a dedicated farmer and rancher. (God’s Steward of the Land). He joined the First Baptist Church in Lott in 1975 and served there as a deacon. He was a member of the Texas Farm Bureau. He was president of the Bell County Board of Directors from 1970 to 1975 and served on the Falls County Board of Directors for many years. He served on the Rosebud-Lott School Board from 1976 to 1982 and the Falls County Appraisal Board from 1981 until 2000. He served on the Waco P.C.A. and the Heart of Texas P.C.A. boards for 19 years, being chairman on both boards. He was a member of the Carolina Masonic Lodge A.F. & A. M. #330 in Lott and the Scottish Rite.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Irene Duncan, Helen Fuller and Doris Terrell.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Radle of Lott, two sons, Barry Gene Radle of Lott and Byron Keith Radle and wife Natalie of Cameron. two grandsons, John Mark Radle of Bozeman, Montana, and Zachary David Radle of Dallas, one sister, Shirley Meadows of Robinson,
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
