Evelyn Hoelscher, 97, of Robinson, died Sunday, November 2, 2025 in a Waco Hospital. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday in the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westphalia.
Mrs. Hoelscher was born on March 5, 1928 in Westphalia to Albert and Josephine Witcher Holtman. She graduated from Lott High School. She married Otto (Sonny) Hoelscher on August 7, 1956. She worked for the Robinson ISD for 30 years. She was a volunteer for CARITAS. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Waco, where she was a member of the Rosary Group. They made rosaries and sent them worldwide. She was a caregiver to many. Beyond her career, her greatest joy came from creating a loving home and creating a special bond with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter, Jane Todd, daughter in law, Donna Hoelscher, and five brothers and sisters.
She is survived by one son, Richard Hoelscher of Hewitt, three daughters, Peggy Mattlage and husband Fred of Valley Mills, Patsy Koenig and husband Michael of Moody, and Rosemary Clark and husband Robert of China Spring, one brother, Monsignor Elmer Holtman of Burnet, one sister, Betty Ann Kleypas of Temple, 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. A rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m.
