Kenneth Owen Bell, 81, of Rosebud, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026, in a Temple hospital. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud, with Rev. Don Fulton officiating. Burial will follow at Powers Chapel Cemetery.Kenneth was born February 12, 1944, in Rosebud to Tom and Erma Brown Bell. He married the love of his life, Sandy Wooley, on April 3, 1970. Kenneth worked for Hailey Bar W Ranch for 61 years and also worked for Rosebud Feed and Grain for many years. He was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. At the age of 22, Kenneth proudly bought his brand-new 1965 Mustang, a car he loved and cherished. He enjoyed Sunday lunches filled with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, often teasing and “agitating” them until someone got riled up. If you knew “Monkey,” you knew his temper was short—but his heart was big. He and Sandy treasured Sunday drives together, enjoying quiet time on the road side by side.Kenneth found peace in the simple things—quiet evenings rocking on the front porch of the home he grew up in, watching his cows graze and the sun set across the pasture, and sitting on the porch “shooting flies.” The last 11 years brought many health challenges that took a toll on his body, but his spirit and love for his family never faded. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Sandy Bell of Rosebud; one son, Bill Bell and wife Lawanda of Highlands; one daughter, Debbie Salsiccia and husband Don of Rosebud; one sister, Joyce Burks of Marlin; 11 grandchildren: Skyler Salsiccia; Courtney Phelps and husband Dustin; Zachary Salsiccia and wife Cassie; Kameron Salsiccia and fiancée Shannon; Allyson Bell and husband Chris; Elizabeth Brewer and husband Nate; Brandon Fulton and wife Vanessa; Nicole Adkins and husband Colton; Mikayla Smart and husband Matt; Kathy Wooley and husband Cody; and Abigale Kreder; and 20 great-grandchildren: Zayden, Weston, Gracey, Hagen, Emmy Jo, Paisley, Laramie, Hadlee, Finlee, Harper, Camryn, Hutson, Bryleigh, Edward Owen, Maverick, Dalton, Aleyah, Heston, Stella, and Connor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Erma Bell; and siblings George, J. Buddy, Harold, Cotton, and Barbara D.Kenneth will be remembered for his hard work, strong will, love for ranch life, and the simple joys he shared with those he loved. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
