Kristie Morehouse

Kristie Prater Morehouse was born in Temple, Texas on July 30, 1984, to William and Cheryl Prater and was raised in Zabcikville. She graduated from Rogers High School and went on to Texas Tech University to earn a degree in Health and Human Science.

On December 23, 2005, Kristie married the love of her life, Anthony Ray Morehouse. She was the proud mother of four children whom she loved very much. They lived in Lubbock, Granger, and Rogers.

She was involved in church, her children’s homeschool co-op, and Cub Scouts. She enjoyed expressing her artistic ability by helping with VBS decorations, decorating cakes for her children’s parties, and painting and drawing. Kristie was lighthearted and she loved animals and singing.

Kristie courageously battled colon cancer for the last two and a half years of her life.

She entered His glory on Sunday, December 4, 2022. She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and set a wonderful Christian example for all who knew her. She was loved dearly and will be missed terribly.

She was preceded in death by her grandma, Lois Skala, and grandfather, Tilman Prater, Jr.
