Lester Albert Chollett, 91, of Temple, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home, 111 South 2nd Street, Rosebud, Texas followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. The burial will follow at Burlington Cemetery.
Lester was born on August 25, 1934 in Falls County to Arthur and Dora Schulz Chollett. He was baptized on December 16,1934 at St. John’s Church in Burlington, Texas. Lester was a lifelong member of the Lutheran faith and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Temple until he passed away.
Lester, along with his brothers and sisters, worked on the farm with their parents in the Burlington and Clarkson communities. He graduated from Rosebud High School in 1952. Lester began his career at Wilson Plastics in 1965 and remained there until he retired after 30 years in 1995.
Lester enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a life-long member of the National Rifle Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Velma Chollett Spicak and Dorene Chollett Brock.
Survivors include his brother, Lee Ray Chollett and wife Louise of Golinda, nephews, Galen Chollett, Robert Chollett, Kenny Chollett, Gary Chollett, Ricky Brock, and David Spicak; nieces, Janet Meek and Gaylene Nunn; and cousin, Roberta Wilkerson.
