Michael "Bean" Hoelscher

Michael “Bean” Hoelscher, 74 of Oenaville, died Sunday May 10, 2026 in a Temple Hospital. Services will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the Church of the Visitation in Westphalia. Rev. Ranjan Cletus will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Westphalia.

Mr. Hoelscher was born on May 31, 1951 in Marlin to Raymond J. and Grace Holtman Hoelscher. He graduated from Lott High School in 1969. He served in the Texas National Guard for 6 years. He worked for Duplex Products, Scott & White Hospital and for the City of Temple.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, John Hoelscher and Glen Hoelscher.

He is survived by three brothers, Donnie Hoelscher and wife Cindy of Westphalia, Wayne Hoelscher and wife Celestia of Temple, and Randy Hoelscher and wife Janet of Academy, four sisters, Barbara O’Gorman and husband Gene of Little Elm, Kay Rabroker and husband Raymond of Westphalia, Bernadette Gerngross and husband Mark of Rosebud, and Loretta Hoelscher of Fort Worth.

Memorials may be made to the Westphalia Historical Society.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
