Dear Lord,
As I start this new day, please help me to find:
Enough discipline to accomplish today’s tasks.
Enough happiness to share with everyone I meet.
Enough sorrow to teach me compassion.
Enough success to give me encouragement.
Enough failure to keep me humble.
Enough trials to strengthen my character.
Enough hope to broaden my horizons.
Enough friends to relieve my loneliness.
Enough wealth to fill my needs.
Enough enthusiasm to inspire my neighbors.
Enough faith to overcome doubt.
Enough thoughtfulness to prevent selfishness.
And enough determination to make each new day better than yesterday.
