Ricky Wayne Emerson

Ricky Wayne Emerson, 63, of Cameron passed away on December 28, 2025, in Temple, Texas. He was born on February 12, 1962, in Athens, Alabama. Ricky dedicated a significant portion of his life to his passion for automobiles, earning a reputation as a skilled tradesman and the proud owner of Ricks Auto in Cameron for many years.

Throughout his life, Ricky remained steadfast in his support of his favorite football team, exhibiting a lifelong allegiance to the Alabama Crimson Tide, rallying friends and family with his enthusiastic chants of "Roll Tide." His love for sports was only surpassed by his love for his family, whom he cherished deeply.

Ricky is survived by his daughter, Emily Kate Emerson, and son John Mathew Emerson. He will be missed greatly by his brothers, Mack Emerson Jr. and wife Cindy, and his siblings, Mickey, Timothy, and Anthony Emerson. His indelible legacy also lives on through his grandchildren: Jordan Lee Emerson, Damian Kennedy, Quentin Kennedy, and Jadah Stephens, along with two great-grandchildren, Clemintine and Henry Emerson.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mack Edwin Emerson Sr., and mother, Linda Davis. Ricky's warmth, work ethic, and dedication to his craft and loved ones will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. Billy Crow officiating.
