Robert Joe Heugatter

Robert Joe Heugatter, 78, of Temple, died Sunday, March 15, 2020, at a Temple Hospital. Private family services will be held.

Mr. Heugatter was born February 9, 1942 in Bowie to Emil and Josephine Aron Heugatter. He graduated from Artesia High School in 1960 and went to work for McDonald Douglas Aircraft. In 1962, he enlisted in the Army and served in the 25 ^th infantry medical division in Augsburg, Germany. He married Joyce Bennett and worked as a production engineer supervisor for the Byron-Jackson Pump Company. He also owned and operated a motel on Lake Sam Rayburn and also owned the Budget Septic Cleaning Company. He had been a resident of Temple  since 2015.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Ann Shields and Virginia Kay Adams.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Heugatter, two daughters, Shalia Heugatter and Kimberly Erskine, two brothers, Emil Heugatter Jr. and Lynn Heugatter, 6 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.
