Robert Shermet Levonius

Robert Shermet Levonius passed away on September 8, 2026, in Kingwood, Texas, at the age of 68. He was born on September 28, 1957.

Robert will be remembered for all those things that brought him joy and reflected his spirit throughout his life. Always curious and imaginative, he was a lifelong fan of Star Trek and science fiction in general, a joy his shared with his family and friends. He also loved working on cars, electronics, and anything mechanical, always ready and willing to share those skills with those around him. Along with these passions, he had a gentle heart and a deep love of animals. He was known for rescuing and rehabilitating birds and small animals, and was never afraid to donate his time to help others in need.

He is survived by his son, Austin Levonius, and daughter-in-law, Amanda Levonius. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Hazel and Adam Levonius. Robert is also survived by his brothers, Kevin and Ron Levonius, and by his sisters, Mary Ann, Jane, and Patsy, and dozens of cousins, neices, and nephews. May the love of family and the memories they share bring comfort in the days ahead and keep his presence close in their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Carl and Patrica Levonius; by his brothers, Michael Levonius and Carl Jr. Levonius; and by his sister, Michelle Levonius.

A graveside service will be held on September 19, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Little River Cemetery, 3446 FM 979, Cameron, Texas 76520.

Robert will be remembered with love by those who knew him, and his memory will continue to live on through his family and all who shared in his interests and companionship.
