Robert "Bobby" Lacy McBee Jr., of Rosebud, died Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
Mr. McBee was born on January 19, 1951, in Rosebud to Robert Lacy and Ella Mae Williams McBee Sr. He grew up and was educated in California. He worked in cotton gins and for his family’s service stations in California. In Texas, he worked as a lineman, and he worked for Cappolino-Dodd-Krebs law firm as a trial consultant. He operated Reel Time Video where he traveled Texas videoing depositions and helping with the trial presentations for many attorneys.
Known to everyone as “Bobby”, He was known for his energetic personality. His energy was felt the moment he entered a room. He was an accomplished guitar player and singer who performed in bands, in churches, and for his family and friends. He could sing and play any song, on any instrument, across various musical genres. Whether it was country, soul, or out of a hymnal, Bobby's musical interpretation resonated in the souls of his listeners. He was a song writer and mentor to many aspiring musicians.
Bobby married Isabel Martinez, in Rosebud, and they began a full and loving journey together. They devoted their lives to each other, their Lord, their family and to those who had the privilege of knowing them. Bobby and Isabel’s home was always a refuge of strength, renewal and love for anyone. Bobby passed on his faith, life experience, and passion for life to his children and grandchildren. His powerful spirit became a part of them.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Isabel McBee of Rosebud.
Three Children, Robert McBee III (Anna) of Lacey, Washington, Grady McBee (Roxanne) of Cedar Hill, Texas, and Carol McBee of Rosebud.
One Brother, Joe McBee (Cindy) of Rosebud.
Four grandchildren, Austin, MaKyla, Robert IV, and Daniel.
In Laws, Jesse and Frances Martinez, and Anna Walker
He is also survived by a multitude of nieces and nephews.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lacy and Ella Mae Williams McBee Sr. and eight siblings.
A memorial service will be held at Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home on June 14th, 2025, at 11:00am
