Susan Dudley Levonius

Susan Dudley Levonius, lovingly known as ZuZu, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on February 26, 2022, in Kingwood, Texas. She was born on July 27, 1957, in Fort Worth, and will be remembered as a woman whose warmth, laughter, and faith touched the lives of many.

Susan was funny and bubbly, always ready with a smile and a laugh that made others feel at ease. She loved to share the Word of God with those around her, and her faith was not only something she believed, but something she lived each day. She generously gave her time to events with KSBJ Radio and to the work of her church, serving others with a joyful heart. Susan had a special gift for making people feel welcomed and loved. She loved her son’s friends as if they were children of her own and treated everyone as family first, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, hospitality, and deep compassion.

Above all, Susan treasured her family. She is survived by her husband, Robert Levonius, and by her son Austin Levonius, Austin’s wife Amanda, and Susan’s beloved grandchildren, Hazel and Adam Levonius. The love she shared with them was at the center of her life, and her memory will continue to live on in the stories they tell, the faith they carry forward, and the love they share with one another. She also held close the love and fellowship of her church family at First Presbyterian Church of Kingwood, Texas, a community that meant so much to her.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Bill and Bettie Dudley, and by her brother, Phillip Dudley, who died at childbirth.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on March 12, 2022, at Little River Cemetery in Austin, Texas.

Susan will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her bright spirit, her generous heart, and the steady faith that shaped her life and blessed those around her.
